Who we are

Playback Live is operated by Nibbs Events Ltd. (“Playback Live”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

This Cookie Policy explains how cookies and similar technologies are used on the Playback Live website.

For more information about how we process personal information, see our Privacy Policy.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser.

Some cookies are necessary for a website or requested feature to work. Others can be used to remember preferences, measure website use or support third-party content.

Similar technologies may include local storage, pixels, tags and other technologies that store information on, or access information from, your device.

How we use cookies

We use:

  • an essential preference cookie to remember your cookie choice; and
  • optional Google Analytics cookies, but only if you select Accept in the cookie banner.

We do not use analytics cookies unless you have given consent.

Essential cookie

playback_cookie_consent

Provider: Playback Live

Purpose: Remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies so that the website can respect your choice.

Duration: 180 days

Category: Essential preference

This cookie does not track your browsing activity and does not contain contact-form or mailing-list information.

It is used to remember and respect the cookie choice you requested.

Google Analytics cookies

Google Analytics is only activated after you select Accept in the cookie banner.

If Google Analytics is enabled, the following cookies may be used.

_ga

Provider: Google Analytics

Purpose: Distinguishes visitors and helps us understand aggregate website use.

Default duration: Two years

Category: Analytics

_ga_<measurement-id>

Provider: Google Analytics

Purpose: Maintains session and measurement information for this website.

Default duration: Two years

Category: Analytics

Before publication: Replace <measurement-id> with the suffix used by the live Google Analytics property and confirm that the default two-year duration has not been changed in the site configuration.

Google Analytics may collect information such as:

  • pages viewed;
  • approximate location;
  • browser and device information;
  • time spent on the website; and
  • interactions with website content.

For more information, see Google’s information about safeguarding data.

Mailing-list form and Mailchimp

The mailing-list form does not load a Mailchimp form or Mailchimp script into your browser.

When you submit the form, your email address and subscription request are sent to the Playback Live server and then transferred to Mailchimp through a server-to-server API request.

The mailing-list form does not currently place Mailchimp cookies on this website.

Mailchimp may use tracking technologies within marketing emails where campaign-reporting features are enabled.

Those technologies operate within the email rather than through cookies placed by the mailing-list form on this website.

Further information is provided in our Privacy Policy.

If we later add a Mailchimp-hosted form, embedded Mailchimp script or other browser-side Mailchimp functionality, we will review and update this Cookie Policy and our consent controls before enabling it.

Embedded YouTube media

Some pages may contain videos provided through YouTube’s privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com domain.

The video player is not activated until you choose to play the video.

Once activated, YouTube or Google may receive technical information and may use cookies or similar technologies in connection with video playback.

YouTube’s processing is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

Managing your choice

You can accept or reject analytics cookies through the cookie banner.

You can change your decision at any time through Cookie settings in the website footer.

Withdrawing consent prevents new optional analytics activity. Cookies already stored on your device may remain until they expire or you remove them through your browser settings.

Deleting the playback_cookie_consent cookie will cause the cookie banner to appear again.

Browser settings

Most browsers allow you to view, block or delete cookies through their settings.

Blocking all cookies may affect website functionality, including our ability to remember your cookie preference.

Browser instructions are normally available through the browser’s help or privacy settings.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when our use of cookies, analytics, embedded services or other storage technologies changes.

The latest version will always be published on this page with its effective date.
